The MMA is working for you and your industry. We collaborate with the best in our industry to ensure our information is valuable and relevant for our members. We want our members to become more efficient and effective in the ever changing mortgage industry. By supporting its members through the volunteer efforts of experienced industry leaders, we strive to make a better industry for all. We do this by promoting the highest degree of professionalism, connecting you with industry peers, and providing education and resources for growing your business in a compliant fashion.

Are you interested in planning our next great event, crafting MMA communications or recruiting new members? The MMA is always seeking volunteers to serve on our task forces! If you see an opportunity that interests you, please contact the chair directly. Or, contact our office if you have additional questions. All volunteers must be current members in good standing. Volunteers are also asked to sign our Committee Participation Agreement each year when they renew their service to the MMA.
These volunteers work on engagement within the membership as it relates to task forces and event attendance. The onboard new members to guide them through their first 6 months of membership. The task forces helps determine and implement recruitment and engage opportunities for new members. They also help collect membership dues after the first of the year.

This groups determines breakfast meeting topics and vets, recruits and selects the speakers and topics. The volunteers serve as liaisons between staff and presenters to assure successful event promotion and attendance. This group also looks for new and unique venues from around the Twin Cities.
Chair: Erich Mische
This group plans the annual golf event a fun outing with a charitable component. These volunteers determine and sell sponsorships, create and promote social media messages, provide support to the golf chair and they provide day of support for the event.
Chair: Jim Ryder & Rita Kennedy
This task force organizes the communication strategy for the entire association. They help create and maintain relevant communications to membership and they promote the MMA to both members and non-members. This group is working on new forms of communication for members such as newsletters, push notifications and video blogs. These volunteers write content for blogs, publish social media postings and update and create content for the website and emails.
This group stays current on local and national government affairs that affect membership. At the direction of the board, the task forces works on behalf of the membership’s interests within the state capitol to promote or oppose legislation impacting the association’s members. These volunteers also inform the membership all government affairs issues and trends that affect the industry.
This group is working to create and expand educational offerings to for the membership. They work closely with MBA to better promote MBA offerings to MMA members. The task forces creates new educational offerings such as webinars, educational portals, various mortgage related trainings, CE opportunities and occasional, topic specific video trainings.
This task force plans and executes the annual convention and awards dinner. From venue selection to speakers selection, this groups makes sure that each convention features relevant and timely industry trends to inform and inspire industry professionals.
